Hot Stone Massage - Basalt stones are heated and applied on the muscles as well as used to massage the muscles. This is not a deep pressure massage. Rather heat penetrates into the muscles to release tension for hours after the massage has finished.
Warm Bamboo Massage - Round bamboo rods are warmed and used to roll and melt tension away. A deep pressure can be achieved as the therapist leans into the bamboo rods.
Deep Tissue Massage - A modality to help to release knots, trigger points, and lengthen muscle tissue in a focused area of the body. Techniques utilizing forearms, elbows and body weight are slow and deliberate. While this can feel intense, it is often an effective treatment for muscle aches and pain.
